I am sure it makes no difference what kind of blackeyed peas or hog jowls you eat on New Years day. I think they have to be the first thing you eat that day. A great breakfast, especially with a hang over.
My wife picked up that blackeyed peas business while we were at Norfolk VA when I was in the Navy.
