Just keep a shotgun handy. Been buying boxes of 12 ga 7.5 shot for $3.50 box. Really doesn't take much, I've been on the same case for a couple of years. You wouldn't think shooting would be that effective, but if you randomly shoot once in a while they don't get used to it. Besides, has some therapeutic benefit as well ;). All your really doing is hazing them. Won't kill but a small percentage, but the rest move on. Crows are a little harder, those are one wary bird.
