Yates , MO (north central) | These calves are handfeed 20 buckets of corn and soybean hulls everyday.
We adjust feed to 1.5 percent of body weight which is around 8 lbs per head a day now.
There is a good solid rock pad behind bunks and mud is not a problem, my Dad
likes to hand feed but can not get in pen safely so we feed over fence. The
calves get all the hay they want,this system has worked very well for us.
