west central Iowa | The guy that brings mine has an aluminum end dump semi trailer (he had an aluminum box grain truck before that) and there is never any trouble getting it out. It was around zero a couple times last winter. I feed about 10# wet dist., 10# corn silage, and 15# ground corn stalks. I just try to layer it in an old JD chuckwagon on a truck frame and feed in old tractor tires out in the stalk field. I add a little limestone for calcium and some trace mineral salt to balance it. Acoording to the Okie state ration program this ration will put .5 adg on a 1200# steer for less than a $1 per day. I use that program because I don't have one for cows. | |
