Kansas | Got my first tractor back not long ago, mid 70's Case. Needs a bit of work, my 5 year old nephew gets on it anyway even though the wheels/chain are froze up on it. And someone put what looks like a bottle opener on it. I know you can find parts to restore JD pedal tractors, what about Case?
I've told this before, but 12 or so years back old man neighbor came by wanting some used culivator sweeps and asked what we wanted for them, I said how about letting me have that old JD pedal tractor in your yard that's been sitting outside for 20+ years, so he said yes. Dad and I went to JD got a few parts, and before we got started restoring it, neighbor came back and said he was in big trouble with his family for doing that deal and so he paid us for the parts and took it back. He must have told someone in his family what he'd done and they probably put it together real quick what I was planning to do. Back then it would have brought $500 or better once we'd got done with it. | |
