Grand Rapids, MI | If this is on a desktop, when you replace the disk, I would definately recommend putting in a RAID array doing mirroring. This type of a system writes the same info to two disks at the same time. If a disk goes bad like this again, you can just unplug it, plug in a new one, and rebuild from the other original disk and drive on. As cheap as drives are nowdays, life is too short to worry about hard drive failure. | |
