Subject: RE: Making a star for top of a grain bin question

central - east central Minnesota -

houndog - 12/6/2010 10:49 We are making a star out of 1/4 '' round bar. It will take 5 sticks of 1/4 '' round bar 20' long to make the star. Does anybody have any idea what it will wiegh ? It will be about 16 ' tall. Thanks

Aproximately - ¼ in round bar weighs .168 lbs / ft   That's about 3½ lbs per bar, so  5 would be about 17 lbs . . .

This would be common cold roll round - rerod weights slightly more . . .
