middle TN | You need more ground rods. I have a series of ground rods buried for a 6 joule fencer. I started with three, wound up with six. There should be a proceedure you could find somewhere on the net for checking your ground system. It has been a while since I put mine in but it involves grounding out the fence, and reading the current coming back to the charger. Hope this helps.
