What bums me out is that for the last $1000 crown I got the dentist himself spent about 5 minutes with me and his hired help did all the rest. This was to replace an old gold crown that I had worn out, so he had also no prep work to do on the stump. I have dental insurance that I pay for, but it only pays for half of "restorations" as they call crowns.
