DH had his out at age 35.  The experience didn't meet the criteria for "a walk in the park" for either one of us, but didn't last long.  Overnite in the hospital and he was back in a tractor & hoghouse in probably 3-5 days (weak memory....it's been several years).  Not sure which one of us was more glad for him to get out of the house.  It didn't cure his snoring, but did significantly reduce the number and frequency of his colds and upper respiratory issues.
