North Dakota | I am a retired dairy farmer. Have been feeding diary heifers for 2 years now, market went to crap and the guy I was feeding for has not paid me for feeding these heifers! But I loved doing it and would like to continue doing that type of business. I milked for 28 years and had quality animals, some heifers went to Florida, Idaho, Wisconsin, etc. I was told by the cattle buyers that came to look at the holsteins that I shouldn't feed them so well because then they have to ask for more because they were in tip top shape. Anyway, I would take excellent care of your cattle. I know there are alot of farmers out there doing this and would like to keep on too!
