I guess it depends on your cattle. I haven't been able to rebuild my corrals after 20 yr of horse use yet. I have cows in there now. I put up metal fence posts & wire panels on the inside of the old wire & rails . There has been no pressure yet. I did have to replace the gatepost on an interior gate because they were rubbing on the brace & broke the post.
