You should be able to find an educated opinion from your Penn State Forage Specialest, Marvin Hall. If you do you can tell him, his knowledge and expertise is known even in the wilds of Texas.

Hopefully your state and surrounding states have alfalfa variety test plots for you to consider.

Look for a FD 3, 4, or 5 that looks good for your pest pressures.
