SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | Eddie, I did not say it is the best hay. Just that is mold free and dry and that I have a difficult time seeing calves or any cattle expected to do well on moldy feed and 20% of any round bale stored outside "here" is moldy. Big Square, First through fourth cutting. Fifth this year was the first I have gotten up in two years that is green and prime. 199-210 rfv. The rest all had rain or 10 days of poor drying conditions before being baled. Lots of 120-140 stuff. Making good hay used to be easy. Can't seem to get it done lately. Oh, I only sell hay by the ton, Why would anyone buy/sell it on any other basis? Sure don't buy grain or fertilizer that way.
