This was taken yesterday. It is expected to rise another 2 feet. There are many thousands of acres like this. We have 160 acres in this pond. We lost 100 acres of corn from previous floods this year, but we still had about 60 acres left. This flood will take care of that. This ground normally produces 200 bushel corn, and last year 64 bushel beans. I have to drive 30 miles, now to find a bridge to cross the Big Sioux River, today. When there are 5 bridges within a very few miles of here. Reports of 13 inches of rain up north of here. I realize that this is a very small area, but there are many areas like this , and they count up.
