Subject: Re: Expected Canola Yields

Rivers, MB
you guys in the red river valley need to realize that there's more acres outside of the valley than in the valley! :) For certain areas, you are right that most canola is off. From my travels this week and what i'm hearing, it seems like the west 1/2 of the province still has alot of crop out. Many guys i have talked to still have 1/2 their crop out, including alot of canola.

Back to the original question. Our canola has ranged from 20 - 42 with the best field yet to come. I'm expecting to average around 37-38. That would be our average over the last 6 years or so. too many drowned out spots.
