Subject: RE: Practice Without Pressure - Special Needs

I'm sure we did similar things with our daughter to get her to cooperate with some medical procedures she didn't like.  We always talked up the "games" and things that would happen when she went to the hospital and spun things in a positive way.  Getting ear molds for her hearing aids used to be a 3 person job.  Blood tests were "interesting" and almost impossible for two people even when she was 4 or 5.  We kept spinning things in a positive way and now most hospital procedures are things she looks forward to.  I'm glad there's a place that helps children with disabilities (and their parents) unlearn their fears.
