Iowa | Another way that I've taken to looking at marketing decisions (one variable, not THE decision maker) is if the ethanol plant(s) are offering price later contracts...If they are offering price later contracts, they have a demand for the corn, but generally expect CBOT prices to be trending downward...If they AREN'T offering price later contracts, they've got enough corn and expect the CBOT to trend upwards...
So, are there any ethanol plants out there offering price later contracts? I know that in our area in central Iowa, there aren't any price later contracts being offered. | |
