john, thats what gets me is all the debt that has been shuffled from private hands to the public. if they had let the system puke we would be in the clear by now. but by putting off the day of reckoning, the resulting spasm will be much worse. and as a result of the previously noted puke, any survivors would be much more prudent and prone to due diligence which would set the stage for the next expansion. but we havent had that yet with the attitude that the fed has our back, so lets push until it doesnt work anymore AND then we will come up with a new plan.(iam talking about wall street and the mega banks). as my former associate used to say about the grain markets after a top, this whole thing is getting a funny smell to it. right now, i think stench is a better fit. d7
