SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | I have purchased Fertilizer in late summer and seed and chemicals early fall for years for years and priced enough crop to cover those costs at the same time. Served me well most of the time, maybe not so well 2010 crop year. My best friend/neighbor has always been a buy it when you need it, where it is the cheapest,don't sell it till it is in the bin, guy, I think he has done ok with that. I just need a clearer vision of the road ahead to be able to sleep nights. Anyhow he has a lot of his corn out and wants to start putting on dry and he had to call three suppliers before he found one with any readily available. They can get more product but their inventory is all sold and all they have guaranteed delivery on is sold. They would only let him pull from their barns as they can get delivery on new product. I guess that is the result of some never getting their product last spring/fall. When I bought my fertilizer I was told that it be this way just didn't believe it. |
