One thing is for sure imo, volatility is back and when we get comfortable on the long side we are gonna get taken to the woodshed on the shortside. Money moving out of the stockmarket and interest rate instrumants showing almost no return means that money will be moving. It won't take much worldwide to swing the price of many commodities a great deal.

BTW, to address the original question whats a $. Its a piece of paper backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. govt.

It seems more people each day are questioning the "full faith and credit of the U.S. govt" portion as is reflected in PM prices.
