Central Minnesota | The carry from Dec 10 to July 11 went back up .03 to .22 after setting at .19 for a number of days. Picking up the carry helps to reduce the basis cost upon delivery. Most years the basis will also narrow. Could add sizable price increase per bushel. Of course location always plays into the game. If the national yield now stated to be 162.5, the market should offer better carry as the system can only handle so much corn at harvest. | |
