Subject: pretty good beans

* Central Iowa, Grinnell area- One producer has harvested 2 bean fields. Yields are around 55. Sully area- corn yields ranging from 60 to 160. Moisture varies from 16.5 to 18.0

* Mason City - The first field of beans brought in here (N-central IA) went 62, about 2 bu less than last year for this producer. Samples brought in and people doing silage indicate corn moisture is already down to where they combined last year. The silage yields seem similar or a little less than last year.

* Freeborn Co. MN soybean yield,1.6 maturity, figured had about 10 % sds, 12% moisture, 55.3 bu/acr

* Two fields of 1.7 beans came off just west of Mankato, MN yesterday. One of the fields went 60 bu/ac @ 11.1% and the other field went 64 bu/ac @ 11.4%. Farmers were very happy with those yields. Some corn came off yesterday as well. 103 day corn on corn went 209 bpa. 100 day corn following beans went 217bpa. 94 day corn on corn went 207 bpa. Famers are very happy with those yields. Those yields would be about 10-15 bu. better than last year.

* Cottage Grove, WI Corn -- one field, 243 bu/acre dry, 25% MST, 56# TW

* Wabash County, IN - 190 Dry…producer happy with the yield. This would be above his 5 year average, but didn’t get a comparison to last year. Very happy w/ quality after the mold and toxin issues he had last year.

* Henry Co Ohio, se of Toledo – 500,000 bu handled so far 170—175 average, 10-15 below last year. Oxford OH near Cincy – 170-175 similar to last year ((which was poor crop). Greenville OH area – 205-225 so far, good as last year or slightly above.
