southern oregon | It's easy to see why Americans aren't, or can't, increase consumption, and borrowing, in any meaningful way. Not the least of which is the Federal Governments' $5,000,000,000 daily deficit, draining capital markets. Since they have the ability to confiscate private wealth, which they will increasingly be pressured to do to service the massive governmental debt, lending to productive enterprise is suffering.
Going forward, this choking off of production, or killing the golden goose, surely looks to accelerate.
