Look at what happened in 1995 if you think I'm nuts. Things will change by the middle of october.( In 95 we were trying to get rid of the huge 94 crop as the USDA. Sparks and all the smart people knew we had a huge crop on the way basis very soft in Sept., hot weather shortened the crop, the chinese showed up to buy corn and we were trading $6.00 corn by spring, you could almost name your own basis that summer as parts of the country ran out of corn). If I was still running elevators I would be very agressive buying this cheap basis corn as there will be more space than corn in a lot of areas and huge front loaded export demand for beans will make them tough to carry.
