From the looks of the Nov. bean chart, I would tend to agree with you on buying a put. There is bearish divergence on both the stochastics and the macd. Might be advisable to either make an incremental cash sale or buy a put to cover any unpriced production.
On the corn chart, the stochastics has crossed over to the downside with the macd still looking up but questionable. The rate of accent on the July 11 corn has been changing to a steeper angle. Then yesterday we had a hook reversal down....but that needs to be confirmed by a down day today. Things are gettin` a little long in the tooth as they say, and some caution might be advised.
