Central Illinois | and I have to say I am somewhat disappointed, but not surprised. These were following beans on flat and black on one field and black and slightly rolling on the other. The rolling ground had severe green snap in June, and I wasn't expecting much. It made 124.8 across the scales. Two years ago it went 218.7. The flat field suffered water damage, but it has a little tile. It averaged 164.4, but varied from 200 plus in the tiled areas to under 100 in the holes. Two years ago it made 218.6. All yields are shrunk 1.4% per point moisture to 14.5 moisture.
If I had wanted to harvest a test strip or plot in the tiled areas, I am sure I would have averaged over 200 bushels in those strips. Just saying that I don't know anyone that puts yield check strips in the worst part of the field. | |
