Subject: Lower corn yields

Eastern ND
Sitting here wondering if the lower recomendations for Nitrogen needs in corn have removed the extra "cushion" that used to be applied in the past. In a perfect year, probably will be fine with the new recomendations. But what happens when we get a year like this and too much rain moves the nitrogen. Maybe the "old" ways worked for a reason.
