Sold a little corn today even though I'm convinced its heading higher. I wrote on here a few weeks ago that I didn't consider it a rally until I can sell corn for more than I could last January. Anyway, the local price reached 4.14 so I guess I'm considering this the start of the rally. This is a 2010 crop year high and decided to reward the market a little with an incremental sale. The corn is testing 29% moisture here so should be starting harvest shortly after Husker Harvest days. Will be nice harvesting in September, delivering out of the field, and taking check for 4.14 per bu to the bank to settle. I can live with that. I'm now 60% sold for new crop (hopefully) Any Ideas what to do this winter? |
