Agricultural producers can look forward to the return of Good Experience Discounts on crop insurance.

USDA's Risk Management Agency will announced good experience discounts retroactive to the 2010 signup sometime within the month, RMA Administrator Bill Murphy said at a meeting in Tifton, Ga., today.
The crop insurance meeting hosted by Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., drew about 60 people to the University of Georgia's Tifton Campus Conference Center.

"We are going to implement a good experience discount for 2010," Murphy said. RMA is fine tuning the discount, which likely will include several levels. The GED will be driven by experience in the program with farm records and a comparison between the producer's history and state history.
