se montana | Have more straw that I know what to do with. I want to winter a seperate bunch of cull/bred cows on this excess straw and sell them as bred and/or pairs in the spring. I'm told liquid supplement makes the straw very palatable, but how much nutrition is there? Will this and this alone maintain (not gain) condition throughout a Montana winter?
Another thought is to feed the straw in conjunction with dried distiller's grain. Is there any form of this product that feeds on the ground or in a bunk by itself (pellets, cubes, meal) that would supplement the straw, or is the dds designed to be mixed with chopped straw and bunk fed?
