I agree with you. If there was demand the basis would narrow. Where I am at nobody wants any more corn they have enough bought til about may or later. I cant get a decent basis with out some begging. My guess is that even if the futures price goes up the basis will widen to compensate. Still waiting for this mysterious increased demand to show up.
