So I guess that means you didn't do the test I suggested? I wasn't sure what was a fair method so I tried this: I loaded each page until it said "Done" in the corner, the hit reload and started the stopwatch. When it said "Done" in the corner I stopped the time.

Odd one: http://www.google.com/ took 9 seconds to say "Done" but 17 before all the images showed.
