Subject: RE: curing concrete

Mt. Airy, NC
we poured one last year and filled it 2 days later with no problems. This year we are going to pour a new one Wed. and fill it Thursday afternoon. Just cover it up with silage on the first load or two and you will be fine. Acid will pit it pretty bad after a few years. If we have time we pave most of our pits instead of concrete. We have 4 pits paved and 2 pits poured. I would take the asphalt over the concrete any day. Just a time factor for us as to why we poured the last two.
