I am still on the defensive in the short term. We have not broken out of the overhead resistance levels seen last week and in the past year. I am extremely cautious of the stock market. Longer term, I am bullish of grains. What scares me is I am seeing too many folks getting "geaked up" bullish. I am a contrarian for the most part. When I see the ship leaning too far in one direction, it makes me want to head to the other side. Corn is up over 25% in the past six weeks. I watched the market do the exact same thing last year, and the highs were in by the middle of December. Will history repeat itself? I don't know. What I do know is markets tend to act symetrically and last year sticks in my mind like it was yesterday.
