| We got about 8 tenths yesterday and it really helped the beans but we need much more. The corn harvest is going to start next week here for the early birds but I am thinking the week after next and I think my burned up corn will be close to dry. All in all I do think the corn is a fairly good crop considering the lack of water and abundance of heat. The farm bureau conducted the county yield tour and came up with a 133.5 in franklin county so this is probably slightly above average. The beans are going to be highly variable in my opinion depending upon variety, where it rained in a 5 square mile radius, and maturity. Overall probably shape up to be an average or slightly above all together.
P.S. I had the highest electric bill I have ever had last month fwiw | |
