Subject: August Weather

North Central Illinois
Well it looks like the computer generated weekend forecasts could be onto something. Once we get thru this week temps are supposed to cool off considerably. They have even cooled it off this week for our area. Yesterday it was to be low and mid nineties all week and today they are saying a couple of days of low nineties and the rest mid to upper eighties. That is just typical August weather. Several chances of rain too. I hope anyone needing rains gets some soon. With the growing season as far along as it is weather is fast becoming a non factor in the size of this years crop. Those with bad crops are not going to see much improvement if it cools off or rains and those with really good crops are not going to see much deterioration with dryer hotter weather. I was mainly speaking of corn. Beans that are needing a drink would still benefit from some rain and moderate temps. Good luck to everyone.
