pabucks - Informa 166 is not what they think it will yeild it is what they think the USDA is going to say it will yield> Informa states in their report that they are trying to guess the USDA guess not trying to guess the yield.

There methodology is about the same as the profarmer / FC Stone / almost anybody list count ears, count kernals, consider how far it is advanced use currant crop conditions, and est. avg. finish.

btw 60% of the USDA number was at one time propriatory to the forrunner of Informa the old Sparks company founded by SC buddy Willard Sparks.
