Subject: Meat production overseas

S.E. Iowa
Suppose the big American hog producers Cargill Smithfield ect decided to take their hog production to countries like Russia or China where enviomental regulations are not as stringent. What would it do to the american livestock industries. I know inputs would be a big consideration , But what if they chose a realatively close off shore location like Haiti or Cuba. A walk though any grocery pretty much will confirm that the public cares little ,(with maybe the exception of meat) where their food comes from. Certainly not produce, fruits or canned items which are labeled from all over the world.
