| I'm home again for now. I was very surprised they did not admit me as an inpatient. I did have a slew of tests on an outpatient basis including EKG, echocardiogram, X-rays and a 24hr Holter monitor.
When I went in to the clinic I had a very low pulse of 32 (bradycardia) That got me the royal treatment and express service on Thurs at the cardio clinic and the hospital. The cardiologist spent a lot of his day working on my case and probably kept some of his other scheduled customers waiting.
Bottom line, there is something wrong with the lead wire from the pacer to my heart. There is juice getting away somewhere. They cranked up the pacer to compensate and I feel fine now. This is a temporary fix because the increased load on the pacer will deplete the battery faster. | |
