Subject: Re: cost of a new house well

North East Indiana
We had $4500 in a new 5" well last summer. 160 ft deep with 86 foot of casing down to the bedrock. Included a new Franklin Electric submersible pump with "on demand" controller. We reused our pressure tank because it was replaced a couple of years before. The driller has been in business for about 35 years and was able to give me a guess of the depth he needed to go based off the neighboring wells he has drilled in the past. He quoted me 250 foot, but I got lucky. Had 50gal/min.
