I can't quite remember. I believe my dad said 18" was enough, but it could have been 24". I know the minimum we set corner posts at was 36", usually set them at 40".
I don't mind going down another 6", but I fear my posts will not be tall enough if I do that. I probably could go to 21", but 24" will cut me a little short on height.
How deep for line fence posts?
