Subject: Dumpster Diving

Saw the one handy man at work unloading some heavy stuff into the dumpster when I was switching trailers so I walked over to help him.

Seems the boss was cleaning out a storage unit he had and what didn't go at auction was getting tossed. I saw an old wooden crate with "National Biscuit Company" stenciled on the end so I looked inside it. The old Nabisco crate was filled with magazines the size of the old Saturday Evening Post and they were of two titles. "Home Arts Needlecraft" and "Needlecraft Magazine" I dumped the books so's I could scarf up the crate.

Later I told Donna what I did and she 'bout laid the skillet on my head through the phone. Next load I was back at the dumpster digging out stitchery magazines ranging from 1924 to 1938.

I just got home and looked through two of them and the advertisements are just priceless.

If I get any white trashier, I'm gonna have to buy a Ford Pinto to put up on blocks in my front yard.
