| Some of our fellow growers found that spraying mineral oil (used by elevators) through their pressure washer seemed to knock it down. The sprayed through the slats down the aisle. Has anyone tried other oils/surfactants/etc?
I understand mixing in something else (diesel, snake oil, crop oil) seems to work while aggitating, but aggitating has always knocked down the foam for us - I guess I'm thinking the stuff you stir in might prevent further foam, but by itself it wouldn't take down the foam.
I think it's best if I can knock the foam down without stirring since stirring seems to take it down all at once - I'd rather give the pit fans a chance to pull the methane out rather than over whelm the barn.
Thanks,
