The market is based off of "good" corn and damaged corn gets discounted from there.

By not getting discounted on your corn you in essence received a "premium" relative to what the seller of the damaged corn received.

I've heard reports of rather large quantities of damaged corn being sold to cattle yards for $1/bu. That's one heck of a discount.
