| A curiosity question after hearing some people contemplating the changes to the Ag. landscape recently. When i was raised i remember people saying that farm land would generally go for rent*20 at auction. Recently I have heard that bankers are seeing farm land bought at prices 50times what rents are. I am just posting asking, what are the ratios in your areas for rent/land value... and are you seeing any dilution from outside investors/funds fleeing to the 'safehavens' of land yet. I know South America is becoming a huge target for Wallstreet now as economic worries are making people jump out of the conventional investments.
Thanks in Advance. | |
