| I remember those type cages (on the truck) from back in the late 70's and early 80's in the broiler business. Seems like a lot of work compared to today's ways. They have since moved to forklifts and multilayer cages (I think 4' by 4' by 8' IIRC) that can be brought into the house. The turkey guys do it altogether differently. It's kind of interesting to see the different ways that birds are handled. I remember a vacuum tube system that was tried once in the mid 80's...didn't work out too good.
I'd like to see some pictures of the cleanout when that occurs.
For us (or at least me), the clean up is a busy time. Looking at Mid-August here. I might try to document that this time.
