| we have used many different brands of plastic. , last year was our first year we used Silotite and silowrap, both are good plastic with Silotite having more tac. , still not as good as the plastic used too be when we first started wrapping hay back in 94, back then when you remove the plastic off the bale it was like a tarp. We are seeing next too no mold on the bales that are wrapped with Silotite, with the Silowrap a close second, when we used Sunfilm or Grand Harvest the plastic would come off the bale like toilet paper, next too no tac, you had too put on at least 8 wraps if you are using a tubeline wrapper too keep the spoilage too a minimal. So too answer your question I believe the Polycrop would be good plastic and worth the extra cost if it is equal too Silotite. | |
