northwest tennessee | It will burn it and may kill some but not all. Spraying this time of the year when it is going dormant will do less damage I have found but the weeds are harder to kill too. Are you sure the 2-4-D will kill the dog fennel? I would test some first to see for sure. I have some weeds that are in the sneeze weed family and 2-4-D will not touch it. If you have red clover it will kill it but not the white.
