North Central MO | Best way to start ... take it to a place with known working, open (no encryption) wireless and give it a whirl. I assume the card is installed with right drivers and working. Wireless card should have some sort of software interface that will show you available wireless networks in range and if encrypted or not. Most likely you will need to be set to obtain ip address automatically. If it's installed and working it should log on nearest strongest network signal by itself .... may be something I'm not thinking of at the moment ...
